Negative Ads

| | Comments (1)

A good article on the amount of negative presidential already being pushed out for this year's presidential race. I've always felt that negative campaigning should be limited to 25% of any particular canidate's campaign. I don't care what your opponent hasn't, can't or won't do; I want detail on your platform and what you stand for.

New Computer

Yes, that time is near. The time to buy a new computer for home. I've had the trusty Dell for over four years now, and its time for an upgrade. I'm not quite sure when I'm going to do it, but hopefully it will be this calendar year. This next computer will be another foray into building one myself. The last time I built a computer was my senior year in college, and that was a mistake. I went for the cheap components and had a computer that only lasted about 2 years. WIth a few more years of experience behind me now, I think I can come up with something decent at a good cost.

I would really like to go with a LCD flat panel monitor, but I think the prices of those recently spiked, so I will need to start keeping an eye on them.

Visual Basic.Net for Free

Get VB.Net for free here. You have to watch 5 movies and rate them but that's it. I don't use VB too much anymore, but hey, it's free.

Wireless Community

I'm looking for anyone interested in building a wireless community in Central PA. Basically, this would be community of wireless network enthusiasts who would be willing to promote/provide wireless networks in the area. The area I'm considering is everything east of Harrisburg and west of Monroeville. I've been tooling around with NoCat.net for authentication to the network.

If anyone is interested, leave a comment.

Alma Mater's New Web Page

|

Looks like Westminster College recently changed the layout of their website. Looks good guys! Much better (in my opinion) of what St. Francis tries to push off as a website.

Check out Westminster's virtual tour of the mummy that used to sit in the library.

World Wide War Drive

Looks like this year's World Wide War Drive will take place June 12-19th. I signed up to cover Altoona, State College, and Huntington (plus surrounding areas). Someone should sign up to tackle Johnstown since I try to stay out of that place as much as possible.
