I had a bunch of screws holding my basement stairs in place. When I need to remove the stairs to move something large like a couch or a washing machine, I simply remove the screws, move the 4 steps out of the way, and then screw the the steps back in when I was done. It is a pain, but not a huge deal because there are only 6 screws.
A few weeks ago, I tried to move the stairs so that I could move some furniture out of the basement but found that one of the screws had a severly stripped head on it. There was no way that my drill bit could grab the screw with enough friction to loosen it. I thought I was going to have to chisel the wood around it and use a pair of vice-grips to grab the screw-head and loosen it that way.
I checked out online for other suggestions first and found out about Grizzly's Screw Grab. I went ahead and ordered some, but I was very skeptical and figured I still be chiseling out the screw this weekend. The Screw Grab came in yesterday and it worked amazingly well. I just put 2 drops of the stuff on the screw head and it somehow creates enough friction that I could twist the screw again. I'm still not sure how it works, it seems as though the formula is some viscous fluid mixed in with tiny steel splinters. It almost felt like the screwdriver was melting into the screw as I was loosening it.
So that's my handy-man tip probably of the year.
